Programmare le ZKP: From Zero to Hero is out — my Italian translation and adaptation of the second volume of zkintro, Oskar Thorén's open-access book series on zero-knowledge proofs. A packed edition of IEEE COMPSAC 2026 (July 7-10, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid — the conference's 50th anniversary). I chaired the 2nd IEEE International Workshop on Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies (BlockDLT 2026), co-organised the 2nd IEEE Mentorium Workshop and the Student Research Symposium (SRS 2026), and presented three workshop papers: a dual-chain NFT architecture for automotive digital product passports (SESS), blockchain integrity verification overhead in energy digital twin pipelines (ICT4SMARTGRID), and Portus, an electronic bill of lading protocol on IOTA Move (SAPSE).

At the conference banquet I received an IEEE Computer Society Certificate of Appreciation for serving as COMPSAC 2026 Co-Chair of the Student Research Symposium.

Presented "The Illusion of Decentralised Governance: A Structural Analysis of 50 DAOs Across Eight Blockchain Networks" (with B. Sara, C. Schifanella, A. Favenza, D. Bazzanella) at DLT2026, the 8th Distributed Ledger Technology Workshop organised by the University of Cagliari and the Italian DLT Working Group (June 4-6, 2026).

Attended zkSummit14, the 14th edition of the Zero Knowledge Summit (May 7, 2026), held in Rome alongside Eurocrypt 2026 — keeping up with the state of the art in ZK proofs, one of my core research interests.

Presented "Operationalising DAO Sustainability KPIs: A Multi-Chain Dashboard for Governance Analytics" (with C. Schifanella, V. Gatteschi, G. Destefanis) at the FinanSE 2026 workshop of ICSE 2026, the 48th International Conference on Software Engineering (April 12-18, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). Also serving as Program Committee member for WETSEB 2026 at the same conference.

Awarded a competitive research grant (Borsa di Ricerca) to pursue advanced research on DAOs and distributed systems governance under the supervision of Prof. Claudio Schifanella. Also joined the new EU project INNO-TREC on transactive renewable energy communities, started January 2026.

Appointed adjunct lecturer (docente a contratto) for the Blockchain and Payments module of the Master di I Livello in Cybersecurity at the University of Turin (VI edition, a.y. 2025/26). Invited Research Partner at Universidade da Coruña's CITIC International Research Projects Week for the second consecutive year, collaborating on distributed systems research initiatives and EU project proposals.

Introduzione semplificata alla Zero Knowledge went live: the first volume of zkintro translated and adapted into Italian, and the start of the Italian edition of the series. Italian joined English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Chinese as a supported language in the project repository.

At IEEE COMPSAC 2025 (July 8-11, York University, Toronto) I presented three first-author papers — on a sub-8 second decentralised energy data marketplace, a blockchain-powered digital twin architecture, and a game-theoretic incentive model for DAO governance — and co-authored a fourth on smart contract understandability. I also founded and chaired the 1st IEEE International Workshop on Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies (BlockDLT 2025), chaired IEEE Mentorium 2025, and served as Symposium Chair of the Student Research Symposium.

Co-organised a hands-on technical workshop in partnership with Politecnico di Torino, University of Turin, and Links Foundation, featuring Austin Griffith (BuidlGuidl) — smart contract prototyping and Scaffold-ETH in practice.

Invited speaker at the CrypTO Conference 2025 – SERICS Workshop (May 22-23, Politecnico di Torino), organised by Polito's CrypTO group as part of the SERICS national cybersecurity programme. My talk, "DAO e Società", covered the impact of Decentralized Autonomous Organizations on society, from protocol DAOs to real-world governance.

Spent a research period at Brunel University London working with the software engineering and blockchain group of Prof. Giuseppe Destefanis — a collaboration that led to the DAO sustainability KPIs line of work later presented at ICSE FinanSE 2026.

Won 1st Prize with the PQ Liquid Wallet project: a quantum-resistant wallet implementation using hash-based signatures on the Liquid blockchain. The project was funded and tested on Liquid Testnet, demonstrating practical post-quantum cryptography applications.

Recognised with a Special Project Award for an innovative approach to integrating IOTA ecosystem technologies in a real-world application scenario.

Attended the 5th Scientific School on Blockchain & Distributed Ledger Technologies at the University of Cagliari (September 10-13, 2024), and placed 3rd in the associated IOTA Hackathon with a DApp prototype featuring dynamic fee mechanisms for optimised transaction costs.

Presented "Shaping the Future of Energy Markets: Federated Systems and Blockchain Synergy" in the workshop program of IEEE COMPSAC 2024 in Osaka, Japan — the groundwork that led to founding the BlockDLT workshop at COMPSAC 2025.

Presented "Integrating a DLT-Based Data Marketplace with IDSA for a Unified Energy Dataspace" at the 5th Conference on Blockchain Research & Applications for Innovative Networks and Services (BRAINS 2023), Paris.

Presented my first IEEE COMPSAC paper, "Exploring the Potential of Energy Data Marketplaces: an Approach based on the Ocean Protocol", at COMPSAC 2023, hosted by the University of Turin — the start of the COMPSAC journey that continued in Osaka, Toronto, and Madrid.

Gave a seminar on blockchain-based data marketplaces — security, privacy, and trust — for the Italian DLT research community, presenting the DataCellar decentralised marketplace architecture developed at Links Foundation.
